Beach Rehabilitation with Geotube® Groynes at Port Gocek, Turkey

Several months after the management takeover of Port Gocek, the investors started a rehabilitation program of the facilities of Gocek Marina.

Due to heavy wave action, the existing submerged breakwaters constructed from concrete precast panels were displaced, causing potential erosion damage of the sandy beaches. TenCate Geotube® systems were installed as core for groynes to replace the existing breakwaters.
